This advice is an overview of the registration process for private dental practices, as required by Health Inspectorate Wales (HIW).

The Registration of Private Dentistry (Wales) Regulations 2017 requires anyone who seeks to carry “on a private dental practice” to be registered with Health Inspectorate Wales.

This means that all dental practices where any private dental care is provided must submit an application.
